My sister completed the fan calibration while I was out of town and after she did - it indicated that the fan had failed. This unit has had fan issues in the past as the fan was repaired or replaced once already within the warranty period. I am now of course outside of the warranty period. Are there any other options for me?

Is there a way that I can replace the fan myself? Thanks for your time. Let me know if you need my SNID. I made a mistake. You can request quote and order these parts from your Acer store :. You'll receive a quote by email pdf document.

Thanks for the reply. Can I buy one of these from Acer? Or do I need to look elsewhere? You can contact them by chat live. I tried to order from that site and they cancelled my order immediately saying that they were sold out. I have done some searching and can't really find anyplace else in the states that looks reliable that is selling any of these fans. Does anyone have a list of possible places to look? Maybe there is a list of Acer projector repair centers somewhere and one of those might be able to sell a fan to me?

Thanks for any help that can be provided. Update - I think I am giving up on replacing the fan myself. Acer tech support referred me to their "parts partner" but it turns out they don't even carry that part. And who knows if the fan is the only issue at this point. Does anyone know of any cheaper service centers that will be able to fix this for me? Thanks for any help anyone can give. It looks like you're new here.
